Provide overall management for purchasing through budget control, effective planning, staff training, scheduling and evaluation. Prepare and administer all purchase order contracts, subcontracts, lease/rental agreements and consultant contracts for equipment, service, repairs, and rehab work in compliance with Federal, State, local, ODLE regulations, policies and procedures. Establish and maintain qualified vendor list, per by Federal, State, and Odle procurement procedures, annotated as to small, large or minority vendors. Administer the center's subcontract plan ensuring that the center meets procurement goals for small businesses and small socially disadvantaged business; submit reports required by the plan and/or the customer. Ensure adherence to quality standards, required delivery schedules and contractual terms; obtain best prices available for goods and services via strict adherence to bidding requirements and negotiation of freight terms. Coordinate with the Accounting department on accuracy of pricing data and the accounts payable function. Assist with the development of new and revised policies and procedures affecting procurement. Coordinate with other center staff pertaining to procurement matters. Monitor, screen and recommend for procurement applicable federal excess supplies and equipment. Conduct pre and post-award conferences with contractors. Cultivate and maintain a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Two (2) years related experience, especially with FAR regulations. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. Able to complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives. Knowledge and Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel; GP software a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
