Perform accounts payable (AP) functions to support the matching of commodities received and services performed on center with purchase orders and/or invoices for timely and accurate payment through manual and automated systems. Process check requests in a timely manner. Review staff timesheets and prepare payroll summary spreadsheets. Ensure timesheet accuracy and that all backup documents are submitted. Responsible for maintenance of routine accounting records and reports in accordance with established procedures such as AP, payroll, or general accounting records. Perform miscellaneous clerical duties involving typing, filing, accumulating date, and preparation of repetitive and special reports. Supervise student aides who are on WBL training. Cultivate and maintain a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and addressing inappropriate behaviors. Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate employability skills including personal responsibility and computer fluency. Maintain accountability of property, adhere to safety practices, and perform safety inspections in area of responsibility. Perform other duties, as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent and one year experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute. Able to complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives. Able to read email daily and reply to messages in a timely manner based on urgency and importance. May be required to have valid driver's license in state of employment and acceptable driving record.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
